The Burger Chef project involved creating a complete WordPress restaurant theme inspired by the brand’s classic mid-century identity. The design uses warm reds, oranges, creams, and browns to capture the nostalgic atmosphere of an old-fashioned hamburger restaurant while still providing a clean, responsive experience for modern visitors. The theme includes dedicated sections for featured menu items, the restaurant’s story, contact information, and promotional calls to action.

A key part of the project was developing a dedicated menu page capable of displaying a full PDF menu directly within the website. Restaurant administrators can upload or replace the PDF through the WordPress Customizer, allowing the menu to be updated without editing the site’s code. Visitors can read the menu online, open it in a separate browser window, or download a copy for later reference.

The project also included the creation of a custom retro-style Burger Chef logo, a professionally designed PDF menu, and historically inspired website content. Menu items such as the Big Shef, Super Shef, Funburger, Funmeal, and Works Bar were incorporated into the design to give the site an authentic brand personality. The finished project combines classic restaurant nostalgia with practical WordPress functionality, mobile-friendly layouts, and an easy-to-manage content system.
